Kintamani is the most favourite tourist destination in Bali with the active volcano of Mt Batur and the beautiful Batur Lake.
We start the day off with a Barong Dance performance which is the most well known story telling dance, narrating the fight between good and evil. From there we travel to the Gold/ Silver factory to view some of the most artistic and skillful designs related to silver and gold crafting. Staying with the arts we then visit the creators of the stunning pieces of stone and wood carvings as well as viewing traditional Balinese paintings.
From beautiful arts to stunning views, our next stop is the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Situated north of Ubud, it is a famous attraction for it’s beautiful rice terraces, coconut trees and valley views. With lunch time approaching we ascend to the cool climate of Kintamani, where we stop to have lunch and take in the amazing panoramic views overlooking Lake Batur and the active volcano Mount Batur.
As we head back from Kintamani, we take a break at the coffee plantation where you will able to sample the local coffee and tea blends. Watch staff as they roast the most expensive coffee in the world, my personal favourite the prized Kopi Luwak. Kopi Luwak or civet coffee is a coffee made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract. These beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness, widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world.
Make sure you take your camera fully charged on this trip as you will have many photo opportunities along the way.
